Gerald Joseph “Jerry” Blavat, better known by his stage name Jerry Blavat, was a disc jockey, performer, and television personality who was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on July 3, 1940, to parents Louis Blavat and Lucille Capuano. He attended Catholic high schools Saint John Neumann and Maria Goretti for his education.
The Geator with the Heater and The Big Boss with the Hot Sauce are some of his other nicknames. The American DJ has four incredible kids. They go by the names Deserie, Stacy, Geraldine, and Kathi Blavat.
In 1953, Jerry made his professional debut as a disc jockey on the original Bandstand with Lee Stewart and Bob Horn on WFIL-TV. He obtained and began his first radio position in 1960. Jerry Blavat has since worked as a DJ for a number of radio stations, including WVLT(FM)92.1 in the South Jersey region, WXPN in Philadelphia, WTKU-FM and WOND in Atlantic City, WBCB(AM) in Bucks County, and others.
